Aluminium Full Size Sheet
Buy Aluminium sheet online. Available to order now for your next metal project. We supply full size aluminium sheet in multiple sizes. With a wide choice of thicknesses, lengths and widths. Our full size metal sheets are in stock, readily available for fast despatch.
If you require custom cutting, we have a state of the art guillotine ready to cut-to-size any of our aluminium sheet. This bespoke sheet cutting service is free of charge and you only pay for what you need. And because it's sheet aluminium, all off-cuts are 100% recyclable.
There are a variety of uses for these metal materials. Pure aluminium is about a third lighter than steel products, making it a preferred choice for panelling, car body repairs, trucks and trailers, sign making and plenty more.
We supply three top grades of aluminium alloy sheet metal. These are 1050AH14, 5251 and 6082. With each grade there are different properties with different capabilities, so it is important to understand the needs of your project fully and choose the right material for the application.
1050AH14 has a reflective appearance and high ductility, whereas 5251 is known as a 'marine grade'. It is highly corrosion resistant suited to extreme environments, ideal for boat repairs. 6082 is readily weldable and has good machining properties.
You can also choose from standard mill finish, anodised aluminium or even white painted sheet metal.
In addition to aluminium sheet we can also supply aluminium checkered plate (also known as five bar tread plate) in full size sheet. These are ideal for kick plates and where hard-wearing panelling is required. There is currently only 1 available grade of checkered plate; 5754.
Alternatives to aluminium sheet include stainless steel sheet or mild steel sheet.
FAQ
Q. Can you bend aluminium sheet?
A. The density and low melting point mean that it can be easily bent or shaped to take on any form without hassle.
Q. Where to buy aluminium sheet?
A. We sell our aluminium online. Our stockholding facilities have been operating since the 1970's and our experienced and knowledgable team understand quality control and will safely handle and package your material to ensure its safe arrival. We have one of the largest warehouses in the UK spanning over 40sqft. This ensures we have 1000's of products readily available for fast despatch.
Q. What is aluminium sheet used for?
A. Aluminium sheet is the preferred choice for applications that require lightweight material, good strength and high ductility. With a reflective finish it can be used in fabrications that will be visible, such as panelling in architectural spaces. If it's a marine grade, like our 5251, then it can stand up to extreme environments and resist corrosion. Perfect for boat building and hard-wearing fabrications.
